Gaurav penned down a heartfelt note remembering his father and expressing how special he was.

He penned “My Hero, My idol. My inspiration…Will I ever manage to be a millionth of a man that he was? Don’t think so.. The ideal man, the ideal son, the ideal brother, a man who always put family above EVERYTHING else. An ideal father …it took me 25 years to even come to terms with the fact that all fathers are not like him.. That he was special .. I was blessed..and as his son, that’s the legacy I have inherited…loved and respected so so much more than I ever will be..a celebrity in its true terms. As a child, me walking down the street or the market always knew that I was recognized as his son. By all. That the shopkeeper will greet me and take lesser money because I was his son…was something that I was used to.. This: when he didn’t even know of their existence.”

In the later part of this note, he went on to express the magnanimous and humble demeanor his father possessed and how much he loved and respected him.

The actor also penned some really beautiful lines remembering his mother who already was fighting pancreatic cancer when she contracted Coronavirus. In the note, the actor expressed the strong soul that she was. Even while getting treated for pancreatic cancer, she kept a strong and happy face giving them strength. He went on to admire her multiple roles as a teacher, a principal, a colleague, a friend, a human being who pursued spiritual growth over anything else. He ended the note for her mother saying “#Meri Maa was the strongest .. She left us yesterday …In the other world, she would be making everyone her fan, I’m sure Aapka #kaanha.”

All our condolences for the actors’ deceased parents and may he stay strong in the face of a huge vacuum in his life.
