Punjabi Actor Deep Sidhu, Accused in 2021 Red Fort Violence, Dies in a Road Accident

A Punjabi actor and activist – Deep Sidhu – who was also accused in the Red Fort violence case died in a road accident near Sonipat on Tuesday. He was also a prime accused in the Red Fort violence case. Know the details here!

Deep Sidhu one of the prime accused in the Republic day Red Fort violence on January 26 2021 died in a road accident on Tuesday night. As per Haryana police, the actor bumped his car into a standing truck near Pipli toll at Kundli Manesar Palwal expressway. Speaking to the media persons, SP Rahul Sharma spoke, “We got information that two people have been brought to the hospital after a road accident. The man identified as Deep Sidhu died during treatment and the woman is undergoing treatment and is now out of danger.”

The farmers’ protest was at its peak when thousands of protesting farmers reached ITO from the Ghazipur border and clashed with the police officials. At the same time, many of these protesters reached the Red Fort and illegally hoisted a religious flag removing the tricolor. As per Delhi police, Deep Sidhu was accused of provoking the mob to not follow the allowed route for the Kisan parade but breach barricades with tractors. He was also accused of recording the whole Red Fort havoc on Facebook live.

 Punjab C.M Charanjit Singh Channi extended his condolences over his death. He wrote, “Deeply saddened to learn about the unfortunate demise of renowned actor and social activist, Deep Sidhu. My thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved family and fans,”
