This has truly been a terrible week for the Bollywood industry. On April 29, Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan passed away. Just the next day, we get the news about veteran actor Rishi Kapoor’s death.
Rishi Kapoor’s Death
Rishi Kapoor had spent an year in New York battling his cancer. He came back to India in September 2019 after recovering from the cancer.
He was admitted to the hospital yesterday by his family as he was not feeling well. Rishi was admitted to Mumbai’s Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital. This news was confirmed in front of the media by Rishi Kapoor’s older brother, Randhir Kapoor.
News reports also mentioned that his wife, Neetu Kapoor was by his side ever since Rishi Kapoor was admitted to the hospital.
The news first came in the light from a Tweet by Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan. In his Tweet, he said:
“Rishi Kapoor… gone… passed away. I am destroyed !”
