Filmfare’s Wikipedia Page Sabotaged after #BoycottFilmfare Trend

Filmfare Awards never fail to give Bollywood hot gossips. This time the most famous of the film industry, that is Filmfare Awards 2020, was held in Assam on 15th February. But the netizens were not happy with the winners and claimed the awards to be biased. Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt were felicitated with the best actor male and the best actor female respectively. Ananya Pandey, on the other hand, grabs Best Debutant award to which netizens responded very angrily and started a #BoycottFilmfare trend on social media.

#BoycottFilmfare Trending

Netizen started this trend as they felt Gully Boy doesn’t deserve all the top awards at Filmfare Awards 2020. There are movies like Uri and Kesari that too deserve top awards. Every top award you name it and is in the potli of Zoya Akhtar’s directorial Gully Boy such as Best Actor Male and Female, Best Film, Best Music Album, Best Lyrics and many more. Gully Boy beat the record of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Black of grabbing 11 awards by getting 13 awards.

The next thing that disturbed the netizens is Ananya Pandey winning the Best debutant for Student of the Year 2. Movies like Uri, Kesari and even Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30 bagged no award. That is a little strange, right?

After the #BoycottFilmfare Trend someone vandalized the Wikipedia page of Filmfare Award

When only the #BoycottFilmfare trend is not enough then some anonymous person took advantage of the situation and changed the Wikipedia page of Filmfare Awards. Below is the screenshot showing the change that has been made on the Wikipedia page of the Filmfare Award.
