Starting yesterday, users on Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp have been facing problems. Some of the problems included loading images, videos, and other data across the apps. This lead to problems for some people to load photos in the Facebook News Feed, view Instagram stories or send messages in WhatsApp. Facebook said earlier in the day that it was aware of the issues. The team was “working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible.” Facebook said that the outage was based on an error that was triggered during a “routine maintenance operation.” Facebook posted a message on its official Twitter account on 7:49 PM ET saying the “issue has since been resolved and we should be back at 100 percent for everyone. We’re sorry for any inconvenience.” Instagram said its issues were also more or less resolved.
As avid social media users, we are hoping these issues get fixed fast!
