Krushna opts out of the episode of The Kapil Sharma Show
Comedian Krushna Abhishek recently opted out of an episode of The Kapil Sharma Show that will feature his uncle, Govinda. While stating the reason he said, “The enmity has affected me badly. When.. relationship between.. people is strained, it’s difficult to perform comedy.” Further, he added, “(He) didn’t even come to see my twins in hospital, not even when one of them was fighting for life.”
The tensed relationship between the mama bhanja pair has been doing the rounds for the past couple of years. However, it strained even further when Govinda’s wife Sunita took offense to Krushna Abhishek’s wife, Kashmera Shah’s Tweet. The Tweet talked about “people who dance for money.” Sunita felt Kashmera in the tweet referred to Govinda. Since then, they decided to cut off ties with the Krushna and Kashmera. Last year too, Krushna was missing from the Kapil Sharma episode when Govinda and Sunita, along with their daughter Tina Ahuja came on the show. That’s because Sunita was not willing to share the stage with him.

This time around, Krushna Abhishek voluntarily opted out from the particular episode where Govinda was planning to come. Explaining his decision to opt-out, he stated “I learned about Chi Chi mama coming on the show around 10 days ago. Since Sunita Mami wasn’t accompanying him, the team thought that I would have no qualms performing. However, the incident has left a bad taste in my mouth. Last year, she didn’t want me to perform in front of them, but this time, I had a reservation.”
Reminiscing about the old times when he shared a beautiful relationship with his mama he expressed that performing comedy amid a strained relationship is difficult. We can only hope to see both the actors with perfect comic timing sharing the screen soon!
