Similar to the Netflix movie, Lust Stories, Ajeeb Dastaans consists of four short stories which are connected by a common link. In Ajeeb Dastaans, the short stories convey four different people and the imperfect lives they are living, and the choices they make because of it. The stories cover important social topics that are considered as taboos in Indian households such as:
- The LGBTQ community
- Discrimination due to caste
- The assumption that men don’t have to make as much of a contribution as women when it comes to the upbringing of the child since they are providing for them financially
Our Review
We definitely recommend watching this movie on Netflix. It puts light on real-life aspects that are taboo in Indian society and may not think about. The two hours are worth the time, and we think you will agree with us once you watch the movie.
