Janhvi Kapoor

Boney Kapoor and late Sri Devi’s daughter JJanhvi Kapoor was also launched by Karan Johar in Dhadak. Almost the entire industry came to wish the newbie all the best for her debut.

Varun Dhawan filmmaker David Dhawan’s son also marked his debut in Student of the Year along with Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra. According to the actor, Karan Johar has been no less than a godfather to him to have shown him the right path to tread on. While talking about Karan Johar in an interview he spoke “Karan Johar is someone who keeps me very grounded. Every month he gives me a piece of his mind and brings me back to reality.” Karan has been a reason for many of Varun Dhawan’s hits as Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania.

Ishaan Khattar

Shahid Kapoor’s half brother Ishaan Khattar was also a Karan Johar’s launch alongside Jahnvi Kapoor in Dhadak. In Ishaan’s words in an interview given to the media website, the actor stated “Karan’s an incredible mentor with years of experience. The magnitude of the work he’s done and his understanding of cinema is amazing. He’s generous and gracious, contributes a lot, and gives you his exclusive attention. He also has a great sense of humour.”
