The Controversy
Recently a Mumbai resident Rama Sawant filed a complaint against the actress under section 215A of IPC. The actress was spotted wearing an exposing brassiere, a short blouse top with “Ram” written on it. As per the sources, the actress was called at the NM Joshi Marg police station to record her statement. The complainant has urged the police to take serious action against the actress for hurting the religious sentiments. However, we haven’t received any formal statement from the actress herself about the incident.

A Bollywood actress born on 23 August 1988, Vani Kapoor made her debut with a romantic comedy “Shudh Desi Romance” released in the year 2013. The movie earned her glamour and fetched her Filmfare award for the best female debut. The Bollywood actress was last seen in the movie “War” and is currently filming for the movie Shamshera. It is expected to come out next year in 2020.
The incident makes us ponder over the question “Was wearing such a religious top in such an inappropriate manner required? Or maybe it was just a publicity stunt.”
Whatever it was all we hope the matter gets solved and Bollywood celebrities stop making religion a matter to grab some media limelight!
